In BNS’ punk rock version of Salvador Dali he is rocking a Mohawk and a leather jacket. His wife, muse and life-long partner Gala is with him, as usual, only this time – as a tattoo over his eyebrow. In the background a silkscreened image of a skull made out of female bodies can be seen. It is known as part of “In Voluptas Mors” or Voluptuos Death, a portrait photo-shoot of Dali by American photographer Phillipe Halsman. Among other silkscreened images seen in the background there are sketches of a woman with drawers coming out of her body, an allusion to Dali’s work. The title of this piece, “God Save Dali”, is a parody of Sex Pistols’ song “God Save the Queen”.
